Oh well, it still works, so I guess be able to work in nitro heli. Unforunately I forgot all about the regulator after a few minutes on the road, so my regulator got a bit wet and oily after a few puddles of water. It worked as it should without a glitch, even though I was using a almost 18years old AM radio because my car tx died on me, no joke, 18years old AM tx still does work. I figured that was the most affordable thing to crash should the regulator give way. I did some initial testing on my old buggy, a 1/8 kyosho landmax. What I don't like is that the output voltage adjustment screw is pretty loose and the switch also quite loose. Wires joints comes gooped and 3 led to display input voltage. Why evo-rx? Because it comes with 2 jr connectors which means no soldering or changing of connectors.Ĭonstruction seems pretty solid. Sounds too good to be true, I feel I am using it with FP evo-rx 1320. Its $28, yes, $28 for a 8amp regulator with dual input/output leads, failsafe switch, big heatsink and output voltage adjustment from 5-6v. Controls: Jumper selects 6v or 5v output. It wasn't easy trying to get him, but he was quite helpful. The VR-3 is a switch-mode DC regulator separated from ESC, it will take high-voltage. I got the vr-8l from kevin of aero smith. TBH, I don't trust it because its dualsky I tried asking on runryder but no response also. Was trying to get some long term reliability info before I put it for use, but seems like nobody is using it.
